Point of view

What Claude can and can't do in a close.

Controllers do not need another chatbot pitch. They need to know what gets installed, what still requires a reviewer, and what stays human.

Where Claude earns its keep

  • Matching statements, remittances, and invoice lines at volume.
  • Drafting flux commentary from the variance pack your team already prepares.
  • Assembling binder checklists, PBC requests, and exception queues.
  • Writing proposed journal entries — never posting them unreviewed.

What stays with your team

  • Every GL posting, approval, and exception disposition.
  • Policy judgment (rev-rec edges, reserves, materiality calls).
  • Access control, SOX evidence, and preparer/reviewer separation.
  • Ownership of the Claude project, skills, and connectors in your tenant.

What actually gets installed

In a typical Snapshot we build inside your Claude workspace: a project or skill scoped to one process, connectors or file drops you authorize, and a documented runbook for your team. Nothing posts to the GL without a human. Credentials are least-privilege and revoked at handover.

That is the opposite of a multi-tenant “AI finance app.” You carry the Claude license; you keep the automation.
